My Fair Richmond

It's good to know that Audrey Hepburn, one of my favorite film and fashion icons, inspires my fair city. When I spotted this young lady waiting for the bus, her style really caught my eye (had to be the scarf!). I did a little editing to add ambiance to the shot, let me know what you think (you can also check out the original).

By the way: Did you know that Audrey Hepburn was born in Brussels?

Definitely makes a different with the framing - the SUBWAY sign breaks the serenity/loneliness of the subject photograph.

So chic, you edited it just right. I see women with scarves here but those are older ladies and not so fashionable as that lady on your photo.

This vesion is better. And no, Audrey Hepburn had never struck me as a Brussel sprout. Does that mean she can be added to the (short) list of famous Belgians?

I saw a girl in Newcastle yesterday wearing a headscarf(6o's style) for the first time in years and years.Maybe its making a come back? I didnt know you had Subway(dont tell me?--its an American company?) I love them!

I prefer the raw photo. It puts the girl into a larger perspective and she still draws the eye towards her. The Subway may not seem romantic now, but when the next generation looks at a shot like this it will take on another meaning.

I like it cropped. The red scarf is great, and so is the angle. Thanks.

    Thanks everyone!

Ham - Ha ha, Brussels sprout. I love it!

Chris H - I love Subway too! Sweet onion chicken teriyaki for me.

Stuttgart - I definitely debated on the cropping of this photo, but not the lighting change. I wanted to keep her off-center, as in the original photo, but I liked the portrait orientation overall.
