Can-Can, sans the high kicks

This is "Can-Can", a relatively new restaurant here in Richmond that is designed to mimic the French brasseries. It's located in the Carytown Shopping Disctrict and it is packed all the time. In case you're interested, the do free wine tastings on Tuesday evenings.

I haven't eaten here, but my French friends tell me it has great atmosphere and mediocre bread!

Nice shot you got there. I like the name :)) sure comes from the French can-can ;) if you do try it, let us know your comments.

Hey from Northern Virginia. Saw your link on my favorite, ParisDailyPhoto, and look forward to seeing photos from a place I know a little of. How about a photo of the notorious Arthur Ashe statue one day? I've looked for it a few times without any luck.

It seems I never added your site to my list of links, sorry! I'll do it right now.

As far as the restaurant, the writings on the windows are spelled right, which is a good sign (that's not always a given). ;-)

They did do a very nice job with the atmosphere and the "authenticity". I have a couple of French friends who work there and they certainly would let them know if things were misspelled/inauthentic/etc. In fact, I believe that a lot of the staff speaks French and so you can order, etc in either language.
